CSP Students Have Fun!

The College Success Program held its first workshop, CSP 101, last Tuesday. The workshop focused on educating students about the benefits of being a CSP student. Students learned about the various programs available, including: scholarships, tutoring, mentoring, career counseling, and receiving help with resumes, degree plans, financial aid, and FAFSA. 

The College Success Program is designed to help students stay in college and make good grades. The program provides opportunities for academic development and helps keep students motivated in many ways. One way includes free cultural events and trips for its members. Last spring the program hosted weekend trips to the state capitol, and to west Texas where students went to museums, restaurants, and sightseeing.

The College Success Program is located in the Student Success Center, known to students as “The Alley,” on the bottom floor of the Campus Union Building, along with Multicultural Affairs. Future CSP workshops include: Geocaching on Sept. 14th, When I Grow Up/Careers on Sept. 20th, and Graduate School Prep on Sept. 28th. If you have any questions come by the offices or call 562-2455.
